<text>Knowledge is Power takes three approaches towards the discussion of the way that Black Women are represented as powerful or intelligent, and the Black Women that are represented as both powerful and intelligent in superhero comics in the United States. Analyzing the Black Women Livewire (Valiant), Storm (Marvel), Shuri (Marvel), Okoye (Marvel), and Misty Knight (Marvel), the author takes a look into the history of representation in the United States for Black Women, the contemporary reoccurring phenomena of the systemic disbelief of Black Women, and intersectional race theory and how that specifically interacts with Black Women. </text>
